Giant Scale 30% Sukhoi SU-31 "Angry Fish" 89″ Wingspan ARF 70cc - NEW for 2026.

The Sukhoi SU-31 "Angry Fish" ARF in 30% scale (89 / 2.26 m wingspan) brings world-class aerobatic performance into a practical size for everyday giant-scale flying. With its combination of authentic Sukhoi lines, precision-engineered structure, and competition-proven details, this aircraft stands out both in the air and on the ground. It is fully Giant Scale legal, perfectly suited for IMAC, F3A-X precision flying, and extreme 3D freestyle routines.

At 2.26 m wingspan, this Sukhoi is larger than a typical 25% / 30cc aerobat, yet smaller and easier to handle than the massive 100″–3 m giants. This "sweet spot" size ensures big airplane stability while remaining easy to transport and assemble. Photos shown with the SAITO FG-90R3 90cc 3-Cylinder Gasoline Radial Engine.

  • Pattern / Precision: Its near-square proportions, long fuselage, and large tail surfaces give it rock-solid tracking, smooth rolling authority, and minimal coupling — all critical for IMAC and sequence flying.
  • 3D / Freestyle: The thick trailing edge wing, draggy round cowl, and huge control surfaces provide explosive agility, high-alpha stability, and confidence-inspiring slow flight for any airshow routine.
  • Balance: The aircraft has a forgiving CG range and wide performance envelope, making it suitable for both experienced sport pilots and competitive aerobatic flyers.

Featuring

  • Precision-built from premium balsa and plywood, the airframe is reinforced with carbon fiber tubes in high-stress areas of the fuselage and wings, achieving an optimal balance of lightweight agility, structural strength, and durability. Black fiberglass laminate applied to critical plywood sections further enhances rigidity and impact resistance, while also facilitating precise laser cutting and minimizing electromagnetic interference for onboard electronics, ensuring long-lasting, reliable performance.
  • Carbon-fiber wing tube (OD 25 mm × ID 21 mm ) and (OD 12 mm × ID 10 mm) delivers exceptional torsional strength without unnecessary weight penalty.
  • Carbon-fiber landing gear paired with scale 4″ PU rubber wheels, designed to handle repeated landings on both grass and paved surfaces.
  • Tail Gear Assembly: CNC-machined aluminum tail gear reinforced with carbon-fiber strut, equipped with a scale-style rubber wheel for precise ground handling and durability.
  • CNC Universal-Fastening System, Innovative quick-release mechanism ensures secure, tool-free wing attachment for rapid assembly and disassembly at the flying field.
  • Spinner & Linkage Hardware: Lightweight 4″ aluminum spinner included. All linkages pre-prepared with turnbuckle-style pushrods, ball links, pull-pull rudder system, and dedicated turnbuckle wrench.
  • Large, full-span ailerons provide exceptional roll authority, high-alpha stability, and precise control, optimized for extreme 3D aerobatics.
  • Plug-in wings with fast-connect hardware allow for compact transport and effortless setup.
  • Canopy access, Large, removable canopy hatch provides quick and easy access to radio equipment, servos, and fuel system.
  • Professionally factory-covered in genuine heat-shrink film, finished in the eye-catching high-visibility "Angry Fish" scheme for excellent orientation in the air.
  • Crystal-clear canopy for a realistic presentation both on the ground and in the air.
  • Painted fiberglass cowl and wheel pants ensure durability with a smooth, scale-accurate finish.
  • 750 ml transparent RC fuel tank with clunk weight, fill & vent nipples, pre-installed fuel tubing, fuel dot, and breather valve for reliable fuel delivery.
  • Standard-quality hardware supplied, fully functional for sport flying and easily upgradable for demanding IMAC and 3D competition pilots.

Unlike "generic" aerobatic ARFs that resemble multiple airframes, this Sukhoi is designed to look, feel, and fly like the full-scale SU-31. The long fuselage, iconic round cowl, and bold Angry Fish scheme make it instantly recognizable. Combined with its big-airplane presence, professional-grade construction, and versatile flying envelope, it is not just another aerobatic model — it is a true Sukhoi that reflects the heritage of one of the most iconic aerobatic machines ever built.

Whether your goal is winning competitions or owning the crowd at a fun-fly, the 30% SU-31 Angry Fish will deliver. It is a model where only your skill on the sticks sets the limit.
